Excellent service at the walk in clinic this Saturday morning. My bacterial tonsillitis came back and was seen in under and hour. Highly recommend

I came in on a busy Sunday last weekend. I was lucky enough to see Dr Manotheethan Jegasothy. I just wished to say how very caring, professional and helpful he was. He took a great deal of time and trouble to assess my symptoms and to advise me appropriately. Absolutely excellent service! Thank you and, in particular, Dr Jegasothy.
Mr Jocelyn Stuart-Grumbar about The Junction Health Centre, March, 2016
I was seen quickly by friendly staff and a great doctor. I was a walk-in first thing in the morning.
Shane Cloherty about The Junction Health Centre, January, 2016
Polite and efficient reception staff. The practice was busy for the drop-in service but I was seen within an hour. Consultation was good and I was given information about my illness which was really useful. The drop-in is a really great service - no hassle with making appointments, just popped in after work. Would highly recommend.

Dr Ellen Scrivener gave excellent care today when I registered for walk in care with severe skin infection. NHS at its best. Professional and friendly service from all.

I went to walk in clinic as I had badly swollen finger look like peronyhia and I'm breastfeeding mum. So first of all it took me instead of told 1.5h waiting till 2h. Doctor whom saw me was very unprofessional, didn't let me finish telling symptoms. Didn't looked at my finger, and started talk in the middle and almost didn't yeld or speak in very loud and unprofessional voice tone. I never had such a bad experience in my life. The only thing I was worried is side effects for my baby of prescribed antibiotics. Anyway I'll never recommend this place to anyone especially when I live in the area. This is not the way to treat patients whom decides to wait for 2 hours because of big pain they suffering and in the end for yeld.. Oh days..

Called the GP surgery this morning expecting an appointment in a few weeks, was offered one today. Staff here always helpful and polite.

As my local walk-in clinic, I’ve attended a few times when I haven’t been able to wait 2/3 weeks to see my own GP but after my most recent experience I’d honestly rather suffer than go here again. The doctor I saw is without a doubt the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. When they asked if I had any allergies and then I confirmed which ones I did have they then called me a liar and that it was impossible for me to be allergic to a certain thing - and then told me I was twisting the words of the doctor who diagnosed my allergy! (An allergy that landed me in hospital for three weeks as a child). They then asked about pre-existing medical conditions. When I told them, they screwed their face up and said ‘that doesn’t seem likely’. If I wasn’t for the fact that I was in pain I would’ve walked out the door and suffered at home. Before writing up a prescription they then blamed my tonsillitis on my weight (I am half a stone overweight - nothing major and certainly nothing that causes tonsillitis). I am absolutely appalled at this doctor and cannot believe they are working on the frontline of the NHS. Disgraceful.

I've been going there for a year now and I absolutely love my GP. I feel like the doctor truly cares about their patients, is very thorough and always friendly and professional. I don't go to anyone else than them. I also like the nurses and they seem to know what they're doing. I'm never been rushed in my appointments and they all listen to my problems and recommend good care for those. Phone service is not great but they get the job done. I used walk in clinic once but I think the doctor wasn't a regular GP at Junction Health Centre, probably there just for the day. That wasn't a great experience at all, the doctor didn't listen to anything I said and just gave me some medicine (which I ended up not taking due to the doctor not listening what was actually going on with me). As a practice, they are great and I would recommend them. The best thing is evening and weekend times so I have always been able to go outside my working hours. As a walk in clinic, not sure. Maybe I just had bad luck.

Despite the NHS website saying walk in patients are accepted until 7.30 when we arrived at 7pm we were told we could not see a doctor. Very poor! Call before going is my advice!

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience with us and I would like to apologise for this. The Junction Health Centre opening hours are from 8am to 8pm every day, and the last patient is accepted onto the walk in list at 7:30pm. The list can be suspended earlier than this time for patient safety reasons. All patients who present when the list has been suspended should be asked by the receptionist the nature of their problem, this allows the receptionist to ascertain what action should be taken for each patient. I apologise that this did not happen in your case. We do appreciate all feedback and please do get in contact via the surgery telephone number or email address if you wish to discuss this further. Centre is always attentive, and gives good service and care. They are always available to help. Today I was seen for a smear test. The nurse explained what they were doing, was very kind, respectful and sensitive, I felt relaxed and comfortable

Highly recommend this surgery - although it might take some time on hold to connect to a receptionist, I’ve never had any problems with getting an appointment. The doctors are friendly, attentive and efficient. The surgery is clean. Anyone who lives in this catchment area is really lucky to benefit from the walk in service and the option for same day appointments. Also the fact this surgery opens over the weekend and outside of usual working hours priceless.

There are so many things wrong with this practice. 1. You can never get appointments quickly. They tell you to make a phone appointment which is essentially useless half the time! My boyfriend has been ill for months can't get appointments at good times and they keep giving him phone appointments and prescribing more drugs. Not making him better just helping him get by. I also have difficulties getting appointments and often have to take time off work (without pay as self employed) just to get one within 3 weeks! 2. They are terrible with data protection. Having the wrong patient on a prescription (address and all!) is a serious issue. 3. When someone asks for a female gp they should have that request respected! 4. My boyfriend who is diabetic keeps being forced to book appointments and then asked why he is there when he does turn up - and then it is essentially pointless. No wonder no one gets appointments! Seriously considering changing gp as I have had enough. I don't trust the care given at all which is a bit of a problem when it is a place I go to to check my health!

Rushed here after work as the website stated that no walk in patients would be able to be seen after 7.30, which is fair enough. I got there at 7.05 and the receptionist blanked me and had me waiting for around 15 minutes. There was some sort of conflict between them and a patient and they weren't handling the situation professionally. Then a lovely staff member came and assisted me, stating that the walk in clinic was closed for the night and how I could come back tomorrow morning instead.

Computer systems were down when we visited early on Sunday. Despite staff having to work manually, we were seen in an hour with ten people in front of us. Professionalism and cleanliness were very good.

This was an excellent service provided for a Sunday morning emergency clinic. They made the decision to send me to hospital by ambulance due to the symptoms i presented with. The staff provided an excellent personal service and treated me with respect and dignity.

I have visited the Walk-in Center 4 times in the last week due to a nasty burn on my arm but have been so impressed by my visits. Always got seen within a short period of time, Doctors (esp one in particular) were amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable and put me at ease. I didn't feel like they were rushing me out to see the next patient. All staff were super helpful and friendly from the time you enter to when you leave. Very impressed with all round care and will definitely use The Junction if I ever need to use a Walk-in service again.

I suffer from Psoriasis and went to the clinic wanting a prescription for my steroid cream but the doctor suggested it might actually be a rash I contracted whilst "sleeping rough" and asked me if my clothes had been washed at all in the last month!!! I had a shower just before going to the clinic and was wearing brand-new designer gear (my friends even asked me why I am going to the doctors looking so spruced-up) so the only thing I can think of which might have given the doctor that impression is the fact I have a slightly wild-looking hair-do, however making a judgement like that based on someone's hair style alone is simply disgusting! I have literally never felt so offended in my entire life!
