Excellent service at the walk in clinic this Saturday morning. My bacterial tonsillitis came back and was seen in under and hour. Highly recommend
Sarah Hochfield about The Junction Health Centre, April, 2016
I came in on a busy Sunday last weekend. I was lucky enough to see Dr Manotheethan Jegasothy. I just wished to say how very caring, professional and helpful he was. He took a great deal of time and trouble to assess my symptoms and to advise me appropriately. Absolutely excellent service! Thank you and, in particular, Dr Jegasothy.
Mr Jocelyn Stuart-Grumbar about The Junction Health Centre, March, 2016
I was seen quickly by friendly staff and a great doctor. I was a walk-in first thing in the morning.
Shane Cloherty about The Junction Health Centre, January, 2016
Polite and efficient reception staff. The practice was busy for the drop-in service but I was seen within an hour. Consultation was good and I was given information about my illness which was really useful. The drop-in is a really great service - no hassle with making appointments, just popped in after work. Would highly recommend.
George Browning about The Junction Health Centre, January, 2016
Dr Ellen Scrivener gave excellent care today when I registered for walk in care with severe skin infection. NHS at its best. Professional and friendly service from all.

Took a half our cab here on a Friday at 6pm after being referred to the walk in centre for a serious infection in my leg. Arrive to see a sign saying they are not seeing any walk in patients. No information on the website or when I called that they had stopped accepting patients despite being open another two hours. Staff couldve cared less and all the management had gone home. Awful place.

Good Afternoon, I have now spent three days trying book an appointment to see a GP for a smear test, which i deem highly important. As i type this, i am yet again waiting for one of your receptionists to answer the phone. It has now been 21 minutes and 34 seconds. I desperately need to book an appointment but am failing to as no one is picking up the phone. Please can someone advise how i am supposed to make an appointment if no one at reception is there to help? Thanks

Complete waste of time. I waited for over an hour and a half with an agonising ear infection, ended up seeing a man who did not inform me that he wasn't a doctor, and who spent more time asking me questions that had absolutely nothing to do with the problem I had than actually helping me (e.g. when was my last smear - given I'm a teenager this was a completely useless question). He then gave me a prescription which is unavailable in all pharmacies, and so I have ended up having to seek other treatment on a Sunday. There is absolutely no point having a service like this when it is nothing but a waste of time with no medical benefit.

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience with us and I would like to apologise for this. We do ask all staff members to introduce themselves to patients, I will communicate this failure at the next team meeting and remind everyone to introduce themselves. Unfortunately we are not always aware when prescriptions become unavailable from manufacturers and I apologise that you were unable to obtain your prescription. I would be grateful if you could get in contact via the surgery telephone number or email address so I can investigate this further. I have been registered for the last few months as a new patient and this is by far the best surgery I have used. The GP I saw was fantastic initally was fantastic and kept in follow up communication. I had a recent experiences when a perscription was unable to be filled due to manufactoring problems and I went when they had the walk in service to explain the situation, however I was agitated Iand upset I would be missing medication. I waited less than 10 minutes and had a perscription for medication and saw a very understanding GP. I cant fault their treatment for myself who is a patient with complex mental health problems.

I only give a *1 rating as there is not an option for zero. Exceptionally rude reception staff, abrasive towards any patient that even says Good Morning. They simply don't fully listen to patients and the default is to hand you a registration form to fill out even if you are a registered patient of 5 years+. Recently went in to inquire about changing my address on their system and left feeling like I was questioned by a WWII Prisoner of War Interrogator. I will recommend a course on social interaction for the reception staff. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, unless you want to be spoken to like dirt!

Me and my 5yrs old son, attended busy afternoon and received a great care! All staff from the receptionist on arrival to the nurses and doctors were so helpful and professional. The unit was obviously very, very busy but despite the pressures, the staff remained totally committed to providing my son with excellent care. There was a bit of waiting as expected, however, I am still amazed with accessibility to other health care professionals while my own GP Surgery has much more difficult to allocate appointment within a reasonable time for 'non-urgent' case. Thank You and certainly see you soon,

Utterly disappointed by the waiting time, reception staff unprofessional and not caring at all. Been waiting more than 3 hours, and saw other people Who arrived hours After me as walkin (so with the walkin forms in their hands to be filled), and all that I get as explanation is that they had an appointment! So why they had to fill the forms as walking? I Felt treated as a stupid and misrespected

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear you were waiting longer than the expected 90 minutes. We do aim to see patients within 90 minutes and a maximum of 120 minutes. On the 1st of February we started a 'Rapid Assessment' trial to try and get patients directed along the right pathway of care. This comes into place at peak periods and means that patients arriving after a certain time will be seen for an initial assessment before waiting to be seen for a full assessment. We are hoping that this trial will allow us to see the most unwell patients in a more timely manner. I apologise that this trial was not explained satisfactorily to you and I would be grateful if you could get in contact via the surgery telephone number or email address so I can investigate this further. As a registered patient I have never been able to get an appointment quicker than 2 weeks usually. Walk in wait times are about 2 hours. I believe my notes are not updated each time or otherwise they don’t bother reading them as they never know what is going on and I turned up for blood tests to find that they hadn’t done the paper work so had no idea what tests were required. The reception staff are unable to deal with the volume of people and end up being exceptionally rude and unhelpful to people who are worried and upset I have also never been able to see the same doctor more than once which makes anything longer term impossible to deal with. Their saving grace is the compassion of their nurses who have absolutely no control at all but have been sympathetic however it’s not enough when you are trusting them with your health.

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience with us and I would like to apologise for this. We have a few methods for patients to book appointments. Firstly we offer daily callbacks with the GPs, if they are unable to deal with your problem over the telephone they can book you a face to face review to be seen. We also offer the option for patients to book appointments online and have a number of appointments available with all of our GPs. The reception team can also book appointments for all patients, either face to face or over the telephone. Patient electronic records are always kept up to date, I apologise that there was a misunderstanding with your blood tests and I would be grateful if you could get in contact via the surgery telephone number or email address so I can investigate this further. I used the walk-in service last week and from beginning to end they could not have been more helpful. The receptionists were polite and helpful to all patients, answering questions and giving as much information as possible. On a Friday I only had to wait 20 minutes to be seen - this is the NHS and we are so lucky to have it! The doctor was kind and compassionate, listened to my symptoms and made me feel cared for. I was given antibiotics and thanks to this prompt action they have worked before my illness developed and became much worse. Thank you to all at The Junction Health Centre for looking after me.

I cannot abide people who leave anonymous, rude reviews of a service and expect to be taken seriously. If you have had a bad experience with a service, kindly leave your name and contact the manager so they can investigate. I went to this service and while waiting for my turn, a couple of parents expected their child to jump the queue over me because they have a kid. I got there first, in fact I got there three quarters of an hour first. I was utterly appalled to hear that children get prioritised and I immediately informed the receptionist that I am in considerable pain, that it is unacceptable to prioritise children simply because they are children as there is no triage and I could well have been sicker than a child with a cold.

Thank you for your recent feedback about our service - it is much appreciated. We routinely try to prioritise children this is dependent on waiting times and the presenting problems of all patients in the waiting room. My self my wife and my 5 weeks old son walk in to Clapham junction walking Center registered and was told we will be next to be seen as it was due to my son. We was told to take a seat and then 3 minuets later a doctor came ask what was wrong and we explain why we were here for the doctor side there is long. We will be seen with in a hour so we waited. I after a hour walk to the reception desk and ask how long do we need to wait the lady side the doctor will call us, 26 minuets later the doctor that first saw us left for the day. I went to the reception desk again after waiting for hour 45 minuets and was told we are next. 5 week old baby boy had to wait hour 45 minuets to be seen say it all. I was told by reception that a 3 year old girl had to wait 2 hour before us how disappointed and disturbing is that. The above talks for itself!

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear you were less than satisfied after your experience with us and I would like to apologise for this. We do try and prioritise children to be seen, a brief assessment is carried out by a clinician to assess the nature of the problem. This assessment is to check how unwell the patient is and if they are safe to wait. It is not always possible to see children first and the most unwell patients will be seen as a priority. I would be grateful if you could get in contact via the surgery telephone number or email address so I can investigate this further. The receptionist are very bad. They do not know nothing and when you ask a specific question they always tell you: "We have to come to you" and they never will. Doctors are not bad, but the receptionists are a nightmare.
