Excellent service at the walk in clinic this Saturday morning. My bacterial tonsillitis came back and was seen in under and hour. Highly recommend
Sarah Hochfield about The Junction Health Centre, April, 2016
I came in on a busy Sunday last weekend. I was lucky enough to see Dr Manotheethan Jegasothy. I just wished to say how very caring, professional and helpful he was. He took a great deal of time and trouble to assess my symptoms and to advise me appropriately. Absolutely excellent service! Thank you and, in particular, Dr Jegasothy.
Mr Jocelyn Stuart-Grumbar about The Junction Health Centre, March, 2016
I was seen quickly by friendly staff and a great doctor. I was a walk-in first thing in the morning.
Shane Cloherty about The Junction Health Centre, January, 2016
Polite and efficient reception staff. The practice was busy for the drop-in service but I was seen within an hour. Consultation was good and I was given information about my illness which was really useful. The drop-in is a really great service - no hassle with making appointments, just popped in after work. Would highly recommend.
George Browning about The Junction Health Centre, January, 2016
Dr Ellen Scrivener gave excellent care today when I registered for walk in care with severe skin infection. NHS at its best. Professional and friendly service from all.

Doctors and nurses are great but receptionist treats people like they’re idiots. Spoke to me with such attitude today about something so trivial, she made me extremely uncomfortable. Don’t know why she’s allowed to behave like that.

I visited the centre as a walk-in patient. The receptionist I spoke to was rather rude and seemed unwilling to help any further than "fill in one of those forms". There was no indication of waiting times and the waiting room was rather full, so it would have been nice to have some idea of how long it was going to be. I waited a little over an hour, which didn't seem too bad. The doctor I saw was lovely and took the time to listen to all of my symptoms before assessing my injury. Unfortunately she could not provide any treatment there and then as I needed a referral which could only be provided by my GP, however she was very thorough in explaining the next steps and how I should go about getting a referral for the different scans which I need. She also gave advice regarding what to do in the meantime about pain and swelling.

Receptionist very rude and sarcastic with me from the moment I walked in. Made me feel very small. Absolutely no people skills at all.

It's just another shameful example of an incompetent and dreadful NHS GP Surgery service. Appointments are next to impossible to get as they aren't available for 3 weeks. If you want something sooner then you are told to ring in the morning at 8am where you then have to explain to the receptionist why you deserve an appointment sooner. If they decide you are worthy they will then arrange a telephone consultation with a doctor within the next 3 hours. Then you will talk to the doctor over the phone trying your best to describe symptoms (which normal human being can do this?) and finally they will either decide if you can have an appointment or not. It's an utter DISGRACE that anyone should have to explain their private and personal medical issues to a receptionist with zero medical knowledge. It's embarrassing and belittling. I once ended up being prescribed medication over the phone which made my symptoms worse because a doctor didn't see me. As for the walk-in centre you will easily wait 2-3 hours for nothing. I once went in with an ear problem only for the doctor to GOOGLE my symptoms and then say he didn't know and to use olive oil. Since then my ear has got so bad it's swollen and I can hardly hear anything. What do I do? Another time I went in with a list of symptoms to which a very rude doctor asked in what capacity I thought they were connected? I had never said they were! I was then told I had an STD and to go to a sexual health clinic. I spent an entire day off work losing a day's pay traveling round London desperately trying to get an appointment. After 8 hours I was finally seen in Streatham only to be told that I DIDN'T have an STD AT ALL and that I had quite a severe case of the ADENOVIRUS... I was also once disgracefully chastised by a doctor for vaping. I had explained that after smoking 20 a day for 22 years I was now down to vaping twice a day and soon to quit for good. He said I was still vaping so it didn't matter and still counted as smoking. I suffer from depression and I'm desperate to see someone yet I just can't get an appointment and I'm scared. My ear is oozing and crystalized yet I can't get an appointment. And so on and so on. This place is disgraceful. I went to Boots with symptoms and I got a diagnoses and cream from the pharmacists in 5 minutes. Shame on you all.

I'm not registered at this surgery but I used the drop in centre today and was very impressed: very efficient, courteous and quick diagnosis.Highly recommended.

I struggle to imagine a worse GP practice - reception staff always surly and often rude, and takes 2-3 weeks to get a GP appointment all year round. A waste of time

Amazing to be able to walk in and be guaranteed to see a doctor. Arrived feeling really unwell. Dr very kind, diagnosed/explained my condition and prescribed meds. Thanks so much.

Don't go to this walk in clinic! They would happily turn away a teen patient with severe asthma 30 minutes before closing time and tell them to come back tomorrow. Horrible receptionist - unwilling to help. I don't recommend this walk in clinic

I visited for the first time today, as a walk-in patient, and was really impressed by the environment (clean, calm, plenty of space to sit) and the wait time (45 minutes at 9am). The doctor I saw was friendly and acted quickly to treat my painful leg condition, but took time to explain the aftercare advice. She was chatty and very pleasant, and the appointment didn't not at all feel rushed. It's great to know about this clinic in such a convenient location.

I went to the walk in center and the staff was very rude to me. I waited 3 hours and then I just gave up and decided to call my GP and get an appointment for the following day. I do not recommend this walk in center.

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience with us and I would like to apologise for this. We take customer service very seriously here at The Junction Health Centre with all staff undergoing training as part of their induction program. This will be discussed in our next team meeting therefore I would be grateful if you could get in contact via the surgery telephone number or email address so I can investigate this further. This morning When I went to the health centre, I was met by an extremely rude receptionist. She was not only very unhelpful, but really rude and disrespectful. I’m afraid I cannot recommend this centre after my experience today.

The service provided by the staff is simply terrible. They are extremely inefficient, badly trained and most of them should not be working with the public in general as they have very bad attitude, specially when taking in consideration they are dealing with people with health issues. They often give wrong information that only create confusion and waste of time, resulting in multiple visits to the centre or many calls trying to solve simple things. The reception team must receive some proper training urgently!

Thank you for your recent positive feedback about our service - it is much appreciated. We have passed your comments on to the whole team at The Junction Health Centre.
My partner and I visited the walk in centre this morning. We arrived about 7.50am and were seen after an hour. I would recommend getting there early as a queue starts to form before the surgery opens, understandably when this is the only weekend walk-in in the area. The GP that we spoke to was caring, professional and incredibly helpful. She included us in all decisions about our options and most importantly she listened to us. We didn't feel rushed at all and instead felt that she truly wanted us to get better. Even though we weren't able to resolve the issue as we need to return to our own GPs, I feel more confident, knowledgeable and able to speak to my GP so as a direct result of my visit today. This was the best experience with a GP that either of us has ever had. Thank you.

I don't know how this centre always manages to hire reception staff that have no manners and are inconsiderate to people especially in pain, agonising 3 hours wait even though I was told would be no longer than 1.5 hours, staff are rude rude rude, and then after they insult you they sit behind the counter sniggering to eachother about what just happened, I'm totally disgusted with this place.

I had to use this walk in centre as my local gp practice could not see me that morning. It’s conveniently located. The staff was polite and helpful. The doctor who saw me was friendly and showed concern. He was kind and took the time to advise me asking me questions about my medical history and recommended a future course of action. The wait was not long at all. A much better service than my usual GP practice for emergency appointments.

Took a half our cab here on a Friday at 6pm after being referred to the walk in centre for a serious infection in my leg. Arrive to see a sign saying they are not seeing any walk in patients. No information on the website or when I called that they had stopped accepting patients despite being open another two hours. Staff couldve cared less and all the management had gone home. Awful place.
