Excellent service at the walk in clinic this Saturday morning. My bacterial tonsillitis came back and was seen in under and hour. Highly recommend

I came in on a busy Sunday last weekend. I was lucky enough to see Dr Manotheethan Jegasothy. I just wished to say how very caring, professional and helpful he was. He took a great deal of time and trouble to assess my symptoms and to advise me appropriately. Absolutely excellent service! Thank you and, in particular, Dr Jegasothy.
Mr Jocelyn Stuart-Grumbar about The Junction Health Centre, March, 2016
I was seen quickly by friendly staff and a great doctor. I was a walk-in first thing in the morning.
Shane Cloherty about The Junction Health Centre, January, 2016
Polite and efficient reception staff. The practice was busy for the drop-in service but I was seen within an hour. Consultation was good and I was given information about my illness which was really useful. The drop-in is a really great service - no hassle with making appointments, just popped in after work. Would highly recommend.

Dr Ellen Scrivener gave excellent care today when I registered for walk in care with severe skin infection. NHS at its best. Professional and friendly service from all.

I came to the Junction walk-in centre to try and get emergency supplies of my asthma and blood pressure medication. The receptionist immediately asked me for contact details of my home surgery and telephoned them for a list of my medication. Langley house surgery in Chichester sent this through within 10 minutes and I was able to wait for an appointment with a practice nurse who gave me a prescription for the drugs I needed. Many thanks to the receptionist for taking charge of the situation. The nurse had all the details she needed to make up a prescription. Thanks to Langley House surgery in Chichester for responding so promptly. Thanks to Boots in Clapham for being open until 8.00 pm to make up my prescription. The whole health centre is a wonderful facility.

Easy to access service, friendly staff and they provide reasonable same day call back alternative if you can't get an appointment booked on the day.

I suffer from regular issues with tonsilitus and started to notice symptoms on Friday. With starting a new job on Monday I wanted to get to a Drs ASAP to organise antibiotics to minimise downtime at my new job. I was called in my a very unfriendly and unenthusiastic nurse who immediately made me feel uncomfortable. I tried to explain my symptoms and situation and wasn’t listened to and she kept interrupting me and talking over me. She examined my throat quickly (total of about 5 seconds) and told me there was nothing wrong with me. I tried again to explain my situation and she again spoke over me and started explaining symptoms of tonsilitus and what other people’s symptoms look like in a very patronising way in an irritated tone. After trying to explain to her again, she became very noticeably irritated and annoyed and handed me her light and told me to look in the mirror myself. I did this and obviously saw the white spots that had been present on my tonsils for the past two days immediately when looking in the mirror. I pointed the areas of concern to her myself in the mirror and she refused to re-look and instead headed towards the door muttering about how she would get a second opinion. Another nurse came into the room with her and came over to speak to me again in a patronising way. He then asked to examine me. He picked up a wooden stick, which he just picked up from a dish on the desk. He asked me to open my mouth and the initial nurse hurried over and shouted to him that he was about to use a USED stick to examine my throat. He had no gloves on, just put the stick down onto the desk and picked a fresh one out of a dish that was sat about 2 cm away from the dish with the used sticks in. He then examined me and told me there was nothing wrong with me, again he looked for about 5 seconds and refused to listen to my situation and concerns. I was becoming upset by this point as I had just travelled 30 minutes on public transport whilst feeling really unwell to be treated appallingly and to nearly be examined with a used instrument. I have never been to a clinic with such unprofessional, rude and patronising staff. I’m now back home with no medication, in pain and worrying about having to take time off sick from a new job I start tomorrow. I’m increasingly concerned about the health and safety implementation of the clinic as a nurse nearly put a used instrument into my mouth. It’s completely unacceptable and I feel horrified by this experience.

I attended a couple days ago as my GP had no appointments for 2 Weeks they recommended that I should attend the Walk In Centre & thank god they did! I received the best service from the receptionist who was very friendly & polite and the Nurse I saw was very welcoming made me feel comfortable and reassuring! Looking at these negative reviews is actually insane how can anyone say anything negative about this service!! It's OUTSTANDING! KEEP IT UP! The only thing that needs to be added to this service is a vending machine in the waiting area :)

Having been unable to get a telephone appointment with a doctor in my own surgery and and given an appointment until 30 hours later with a GP in a different surgery when I telephoned to say that pustules from shingles had returned in my ear and knowing I needed an immediate prescription for antivirals I went to the Junction Clinic Drop In Centre and was treated for the first time like a person instead of a statistic which had to be written up on a computer. The kindness, advice and prompt treatment I was given here by the doctor I saw was a great comfort to me, a truly caring doctor and I am very grateful.

First class service from the doctor! Thank you!

Don't go to this walk in clinic! They would happily turn away a teen patient with severe asthma 30 minutes before closing time and tell them to come back tomorrow. Horrible receptionist - unwilling to help. I don't recommend this walk in clinic

Thank you for your feedback, I am sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience with us and I would like to apologise for this. The patient list is suspended at 7:30pm for clinical safety. All patients who present when the list has been suspended will be asked by the receptionist the nature of their problem, this allows the receptionist to ascertain what action should be taken for each patient. I apologise that this did not happen in your case. We do appreciate all feedback and please do get in contact via the surgery telephone number or email address so that I can investigate this further. Doctors and nurses are great but receptionist treats people like they’re idiots. Spoke to me with such attitude today about something so trivial, she made me extremely uncomfortable. Don’t know why she’s allowed to behave like that.

I visited the centre as a walk-in patient. The receptionist I spoke to was rather rude and seemed unwilling to help any further than "fill in one of those forms". There was no indication of waiting times and the waiting room was rather full, so it would have been nice to have some idea of how long it was going to be. I waited a little over an hour, which didn't seem too bad. The doctor I saw was lovely and took the time to listen to all of my symptoms before assessing my injury. Unfortunately she could not provide any treatment there and then as I needed a referral which could only be provided by my GP, however she was very thorough in explaining the next steps and how I should go about getting a referral for the different scans which I need. She also gave advice regarding what to do in the meantime about pain and swelling.

It's just another shameful example of an incompetent and dreadful NHS GP Surgery service. Appointments are next to impossible to get as they aren't available for 3 weeks. If you want something sooner then you are told to ring in the morning at 8am where you then have to explain to the receptionist why you deserve an appointment sooner. If they decide you are worthy they will then arrange a telephone consultation with a doctor within the next 3 hours. Then you will talk to the doctor over the phone trying your best to describe symptoms (which normal human being can do this?) and finally they will either decide if you can have an appointment or not. It's an utter DISGRACE that anyone should have to explain their private and personal medical issues to a receptionist with zero medical knowledge. It's embarrassing and belittling. I once ended up being prescribed medication over the phone which made my symptoms worse because a doctor didn't see me. As for the walk-in centre you will easily wait 2-3 hours for nothing. I once went in with an ear problem only for the doctor to GOOGLE my symptoms and then say he didn't know and to use olive oil. Since then my ear has got so bad it's swollen and I can hardly hear anything. What do I do? Another time I went in with a list of symptoms to which a very rude doctor asked in what capacity I thought they were connected? I had never said they were! I was then told I had an STD and to go to a sexual health clinic. I spent an entire day off work losing a day's pay traveling round London desperately trying to get an appointment. After 8 hours I was finally seen in Streatham only to be told that I DIDN'T have an STD AT ALL and that I had quite a severe case of the ADENOVIRUS... I was also once disgracefully chastised by a doctor for vaping. I had explained that after smoking 20 a day for 22 years I was now down to vaping twice a day and soon to quit for good. He said I was still vaping so it didn't matter and still counted as smoking. I suffer from depression and I'm desperate to see someone yet I just can't get an appointment and I'm scared. My ear is oozing and crystalized yet I can't get an appointment. And so on and so on. This place is disgraceful. I went to Boots with symptoms and I got a diagnoses and cream from the pharmacists in 5 minutes. Shame on you all.

I struggle to imagine a worse GP practice - reception staff always surly and often rude, and takes 2-3 weeks to get a GP appointment all year round. A waste of time
